Entering grades 2-5

In Explorers, our #1 focus is creating a safe, comfortable group-camping experience.  For many, this Village is a child’s first step into resident camping.  With a strong emphasis on unity, the cabin group of 2 Counselors and 10 campers stay together all day.  They sample camp activities in shorter, age-appropriate time blocks. 

Archery, Arts & Crafts, marksmanship, field games, the Climbing Tower, swimming, canoeing and hiking are just some of the fun they enjoy.

Explorers make friends, form strong bonds with their camp counselors, laugh, giggle and learn camp songs.  Cookies & milk, stories before bedtime and S’Mores around the campfire ensure that it’s YMCA camp as we all remember.
