We know that campers want new experiences.  That is why we try to constantly improve and adapt our program to meet the changing needs and interests of our campers.  Your feedback has been invaluable in helping us to shape the summer experience for the children that we share with our camp families.

New experiences are important, but developing life skills is even more valuable.

  • Camp activities build confidence and self-esteem through challenges, skill development, and a sense of adventure.
  • We take time to help campers practice social skills and develop friendships.
  • Staff and campers live by our four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
  
  • Our practices are focused on healthy lifestyles and being good stewards of the environment.
  
  • Our Candlelight & Wish-Stick closing ceremonies allow campers to set goals and reinforce character lessons from the week.

Like you, we want to develop and grow confident and caring young people.   The campers want to “make friends and have fun”!  We can do that and also help them to reach towards their potential.

Spending one summer as part of the camp culture can have a wonderful impact.  Can you imagine what three, five, or even ten summers can achieve?!  For our long-time camp families, a summer at YMCA Camp Marston,  Camp Surf, or Raintree Ranch becomes a part of their lives, and they are a part of our camps.  The impact is amazing.  (Just ask the members of our camp board who were former staff, campers, or camper parents!)

If you are new to our camp family, we hope that your child continues to spend summers with us. We want to become “your” camp, and have our programs become part of the summer tradition for your family. If you have spent multiple summers with us, we thank you for allowing us to work with you towards creating a positive long-term impact.  It is exciting to watch campers in our program grow over the years, and to hear from parents how important the camp experience has been to their lives.
